Phyllis Beatrice Nichols, 73, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Marlow, OK. She was surrounded by family. Phyllis had a long battle with breast and liver cancer.

Public visitation will be available from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2024, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, March 8, 2024, at the Church of Christ in Marlow, Oklahoma with Lee Parish officiating. Burial will follow at the Marlow Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services of Marlow.

Phyllis Beatrice was born Monday, June 19, 1950, in Manitou, OK to James Aubrey and Wilma Dora (Woods) Loveless. Phyllis was the fifth of six children. Phyllis graduated from Grant High School for Adults while living in California. Phyllis went on to get her cosmetology license and worked in the Marlow area for 26 years before retiring. Phyllis was a lifelong member of the Marlow Church of Christ and a proud member of the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Phyllis will be remembered for her love of family and friends.

On September 9, 1983, Phyllis married Carroll Ray Nichols in Pineville, Missouri. Phyllis's favorite pastime outside the beauty shop was looking at houses and remodeling them with Carroll.

Survivors include her son, David Lyn Nichols and wife, Tammy, of Bray, three daughters, Donna B. Fowler and husband, Ronnie, of Faxon, Kay Lynn Triplett and husband, Craig, of Marlow, and China D. Nichols of Marlow, daughter-in-law, Tracy Nichols, of Bray, 11 grandchildren, Kayla Munden and husband, Benjamin, of Frankton, IN, Meagan Bourne of Marlow, Tanner Nichols and wife, Ashley, of Marlow, Taylor Nichols and Tylor Kidd of Bray, Brandon Brigman and wife, Tricia, of Washington State, Dillon Brigman Nichols of Bray, Alex Nichols of Bray, Savanah Triplett of Norman, Tripp Ray Nichols of Marlow, Dylan and Sam Day of Coppers Cove, TX, and Morgan McDonald Fowler and J.T. McElory of Yukon, 10 great-grandchildren, Karter, Juday, Jocelyn Chisum, Whitley Kidd, Allie Brigman, Piper Nichols, Adalyn Brigman, Aurora Brigman, Charlee May Brigman, Kutter Dale Nichols, and Sage Mckinzie Day, brother, Sammy Joe Loveless and wife, Pam, of Wewoka, nephew, Charles E. Seaton, Jr. and wife, Elizabeth, of Ninnekah, OK, and numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her loving husband, Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, James Loveless and Albert Loveless, Sr., two sisters, Willie Seaton and Frances Trusty, and her son, Gary Dale Nichols.
