Lady Outlaws dominate relay events, win girls’ division at V-A Track Meet

Marlow Girls Track & Field placed 1st overall in the girls’ division at the Velma-Alma meet Thursday, March 14, with 217 points, 127 points ahead of Velma-Alma’s 2nd place slot with 90 points, and Tipton was 3rd with 86 points. Other schools included Oklahoma Christian 64, Wright City 46, Waurika 42, Star Spencer 32, Walters 20 points.

Bringing home 1st place in individual competition were Alisha Lemons, Bristin Smith, Bretlie Hyde and Chloe Boyster. In meter relays, the girls also took the 1st place slots for 400 Meter, 800 Meter, and 1600 Meter. They placed 2nd in the 3200 Meter Relay. In all, the girls returned home with 25 individual awards, including the top four slots in Pole Vault event.

In the 400 Meter Relay 4x100 – Marlow’s team of Alisha Lemons, Miley Miller, Gracie Lara and Mylee Moore took the 1st place slot with a time of 00:52.81.
