Marlow Chamber Reflects on Busy Summer, Looks Ahead to August Events and Community Garden Project

July 24, 2025

The Marlow Chamber of Commerce is celebrating a successful summer season marked by strong attendance at local events and growing excitement for what's ahead in August and beyond.
In a recent message to members, Chamber President Cody Elliott offered a recap of recent activities and highlighted upcoming community opportunities.
The June edition of Mornings in Marlow drew a sizable crowd on June 6, hosted by the ever-popular Giuseppe’s Italian Dining. “Giuseppe’s continues to be a regional favorite, attracting guests from across Oklahoma and North Texas,” Elliott said.
Later in the month, on June 24, the Chamber hosted its quarterly Lunch & Learn event with the Marlow Masonic Lodge. “It was great to learn more about the Masons and the services they provide to our local communities,” Elliott added.
July brought one of Marlow’s most cherished traditions—the annual Independence Day celebration at Redbud Park. Held Friday, July 4, this year’s event was a standout. “By most estimates, this was the biggest parade we’ve had in recent history,” Elliott said. A cool front helped make the day in the park even more enjoyable, with food vendors, live music, and fireworks wrapping up a day of fun and fellowship.
Looking Ahead to August
The Chamber has two events scheduled for August:
Friday, August 5: Mornings in Marlow hosted by Refuge Care Hospice from 8 to 9 a.m.
Thursday, August 21: Chamber After Hours hosted by Whisper Trading Co. from 5 to 7 p.m.

Plans are also moving forward for the Marlow Community Garden. The Chamber is currently fundraising to bring the project to life, with sponsorship opportunities available for local businesses and individuals.
Donelle Gregston is leading the charge and can be reached at 580-658-0191 for more information. A dedicated Facebook page has also been launched to provide updates. Once complete, the garden will include educational programs on topics such as seed saving, jam and jelly making, sourdough baking, and more. Box rentals and volunteer opportunities will be made available to the public.
