September 11, 2025

The Marlow Outlaws remained perfect at 2–0 and climbed to No. 5 in the Class 2A-1 rankings Friday night, shutting out the Chickasha Fighting Chicks 41–0 at Marlow High Stadium. A balanced offensive attack and suffocating defense kept Chickasha off the scoreboard.

Marlow struck quickly. At 6:41 of the first quarter, sophomore quarterback Brendan Weber connected on a 43-yard touchdown pass to Boomer Brooks, who turned upfield and raced into the end zone. Jett Gilbert’s PAT made it 7–0.

The Outlaws extended their lead to 13–0 in the second quarter on a 1-yard plunge by Hudson Morgan, though Gilbert’s kick slipped wide. With four seconds left in the half, Weber capped a 75-yard drive with a 5-yard scoring strike to Jackson Miller, sending Marlow into intermission up 20–0.

In the third, Morgan powered in from 2 yards out before Jaxson Murray electrified the crowd with a 35-yard punt-return touchdown, pushing the margin to 34–0. Early in the fourth quarter, reserve QB Brett Wolfe lofted a 44-yard touchdown pass to Ryder Blanton to complete the scoring.

Weber finished 13-of-15 for 152 yards and two TDs. Wolfe was 2-for-3 for 53 yards and a score. Brooks led the receiving corps with seven catches for 99 yards, while Miller’s lone grab was a touchdown. Morgan paced the ground game with 16 carries for 50 yards and two rushing TDs.

Defensively, Marlow held Chickasha to just 162 total yards and six first downs. The unit recorded eight tackles for loss, and forced two turnovers.

With the victory, Marlow moves to 2–0 and sits at No. 5 in Class 2A-1. The Outlaws travel to Lindsay Friday, September 26, to face the Leopards in a district clash under the Friday-night lights.
