Outlaws Advance To Semifinals

November 26, 2025

Marlow’s Outlaws punched their ticket to the state semifinals with a hard-nosed 35-21 win at Kingston on Friday, Nov. 21, a performance built on a dominant ground attack, timely big plays and a late answer that closed the door on the hosts. From the opening kickoff Marlow set the tone, driving for two first-quarter touchdowns to build a 14-0 lead and force Kingston to play from behind in an intense playoff atmosphere.

Senior Hudson Morgan was the heartbeat of the offense, rushing 26 times for 142 yards and four touchdowns while also going 5-for-5 passing for 123 yards and the game’s longest play, an 89-yard strike to Jaxson Murray. That Murray catch — a one-play explosion at 6:39 of the second quarter — turned a tight game into one where Marlow could control tempo and sustain long, wearing drives.

Clint Ladon provided the complementary work Marlow needed, rushing 10 times for 100 yards and delivering the two-point conversion on the game-clinching score, a well-timed pass to Wyatt Osborn that made it 35-21 with under five minutes to play. Those two plays — Morgan’s 7-yard TD and Ladon’s conversion — were the sum of a night in which Marlow repeatedly won the line of scrimmage and came up with situational execution when it mattered most.

Kingston fought back behind Reid Patterson, who combined a physical rushing night (24 carries for 116 yards) with efficient passing (10-for-16 for 105 yards) and a late 3-yard touchdown that briefly threatened to swing momentum. Hudson Everhart’s 13-yard scoring reception before halftime and Patterson’s toughness kept Kingston within striking distance, but two fumbles by Kingston proved costly in a game decided by a handful of key possessions.

Statistically the game showed Marlow’s control: 365 total yards (242 rushing, 123 passing), 18 first downs and a clean turnover sheet; Kingston finished with 315 yards and three turnovers (two fumbles, one lost). Marlow converted 4-of-6 third downs, limited penalties to five for 30 yards and protected the football — small margins that add up big in playoff football and were decisive here.

With that effort Marlow advances to the state semifinals, where the Outlaws will face No. 1 Jones on Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.; the game will be held in Noble at Noble High School.

Jones (12-0) enters the semifinals with an impressive postseason record, having beaten Little Axe 42-14 in the first round and Sequoyah 56-18 in the quarterfinals. Their strong offensive and defensive performances have made them a formidable opponent as they prepare to face Marlow.
