Marlow High School FCCLA Members Attend State Convention, Earn Top Honors

Members of the Marlow High School FCCLA chapter recently attended the Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention, held April 2, 2026, at the Arvest Convention Center in Tulsa. The event brought together more than 4,600 student members, advisers and guests from across the state for a day of leadership, recognition and celebration. Those attending from Marlow High School included Lillie Morningstar, Emma Conway, Kaitlin Smith, Selina Zhang, Gabi Baecker, Greer DaVoult and adviser Tamra May.

Throughout the convention, chapters were recognized for outstanding achievements, including Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Participation Awards, Chapters of Excellence honors and top placements in STAR Events, a competitive program that showcases students’ skills in leadership, career preparation and community service. Selina Zhang, a 10th grade student, earned third place in Children’s Literature, Level 2. The Marlow chapter also received the Bronze Chapter of Excellence designation and the 100% FCS Participation Award.

The Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention serves as the premier annual event for members of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, offering opportunities to develop leadership skills, explore career pathways and be recognized for accomplishments. “Oklahoma FCCLA State Convention is the ultimate celebration of our members each year,” said Oklahoma FCCLA State Adviser Brittani Phillips. “We are proud to recognize their accomplishments, celebrate their growth and close out the year stronger than ever, with a record-breaking 28,000 members across the state.”
