Marlow Track and Field Athletes Earn Multiple Medals at State Meet
Marlow High School track and field athletes closed out the season with a strong performance at the state meet, bringing home multiple medals and top-eight finishes while representing the Outlaws on the state stage.
Leading the way for Marlow was the boys 4x800-meter relay team of Grant Woods, Kagan Mayes, Caleb Davis, and Cruz Sanchez, who earned a second-place finish and state runner-up honors.
Brennen Harris also claimed a state runner-up finish in the pole vault competition.
The Outlaws’ 4x400-meter relay team of Cruz Sanchez, Grant Woods, Karson Mayes, and Thomas Williams secured third place at the meet, while Sanchez also earned an individual third-place medal in the 800-meter run.
Additional top-eight finishes for Marlow included Braeden Choate placing fifth in pole vault and Thomas Williams finishing sixth in high jump.
On the girls side, Bretlie Hyde earned two medals at the state meet, finishing sixth in discus and eighth in shot put.
Marlow coaches and supporters praised the athletes for their dedication and accomplishments throughout the season, highlighting the team’s effort, sportsmanship, and representation of the Marlow community.
The state meet performances capped off what school officials described as an outstanding season for Marlow Track and Field.
