Lonnie Edward Cooper, 60, passed away Friday, August 17, 2018, in Lawton.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Marlow, with Rev. Michael Cooper officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

Lonnie was born Wednesday, June 25, 1958, in Lawton, to James Edward and Lizzie (York) Cooper. He graduated from Lawton High School. He lived in the Stephens and Comanche Counties all of his life. He worked for Knowles Fence Company building fences for over 30 years. He enjoyed watching OU football, Thunder basketball, and playing softball. He liked listening to AC/DC. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandkids. He was a grill master that loved to cook for everyone. He was an active member of the St. York Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Paula Cooper of Lawton; seven grandchildren, Mali Cooper, Tahli Cooper, Breanna Portilo, Nashoba Portilo, Samyia Portilo, Tomihawk Portilo, and Sarah Daukei; one great-granddaughter, Angelena Cooper; two sisters, Joyce Cooper of Marlow, Mary Kingfisher and husband, William of Locus Grove. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Ray York; and three sisters, Judy Cooper, Nancy Cooper Henry, and Linda Cooper.
