Roy Lee Ritter

Roy Lee Ritter, passed away Sunday, November 11, 2018 in Duncan at the age of 86.

 
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, November 15, 2018, at the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel, with Rev. Gene Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow in the Marlow Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Stephens County Honor Guard . All arrangements have been entrusted to Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral and Cremation Services in Marlow.

 
Roy was born Sunday, April 13, 1932 in Marlow, to Marvin Melvin and Mable Ruth (Davis) Ritter. He lived in the Stephens county area all of his life and graduated from Bray High School. Roy married his loving wife, Eva Bell Eggleston in Marlow, December 12, 1953. They were married for 62 wonderful years before her passing on February 15, 2016. Roy served in the United States Army and was a rancher. He enjoyed fishing and taking care of his chickens, cattle, and bees. He was one of the founders of the Bray Volunteer Fire Department as well as helping build the fire station. Roy was a member of many associations and served as an officer in many of them such as Stephens County Bee Association, Korean War Association, and VFW-American Legion. He was a member of the Bailey Church. 

 
Survivors include, a daughter, Mary Jane Ritter of Marlow, a grandson, Robert James Ritter of Bray, a granddaughter, Kayla Ann Ritter of Bray, great-granddaughter, Summer Rayne Crowder of Bray, 2 brothers, Billy Don Ritter of Duncan, Bud Ritter and wife Sherry of Duncan, a sister, Louise Herndon and husband Frankie of Marlow, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

 
Along with his beloved wife, Roy was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Max Hogue, Bob Ritter, and a sister, Deloris Koenig.

 
Pallbearers will be: Robert Ritter, Bill Crowdis, Gale Austin, Brandon Austin, Billy Jon Koenig, and Jim Elkins
