Team members at First National Bank of Marlow all contributed to the donation of dozens of cases of cereal to the Marlow Samaritans for Christmas food baskets. The cases, which are stacked inside the bank lobby, will be delivered to the nonprofit organization on December 19 with the help of students from Marlow High School.

Bank president Keith Mansfield said that it amounted to over 40,000 ounces of cereal. “Every basket will get two boxes of cereal,” he said. “And there should be some left over for the Samaritans to distribute in January.”

Mansfield said that the bank has donated cereal to the Samaritans for several years. “There’s no cooking, and no extra ingredients are required. It’s a good breakfast or a good snack.

“Every team member contributed to this,” Mansfield continued. “We’re glad to be able to do this in our community.”
